Changes to the Covid-19 vaccine policy in Tennessee for AT&T employees

To: All employees in Tennessee, with a copy to their supervisors

We continue to strongly encourage all employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19, as it has proven to be the best and most effective way to protect ourselves and our loved ones from the worst impacts of the disease. However, due  to recent legislation in the state of Tennessee, employees will not currently be required to be fully vaccinated to enter a workplace, attend a company event or visit a customer location. That is now also true for those employees working on or in connection with a federal government contract.

Given that change – and in order to continue to prioritize the health and safety of all employees – the following rules* are now in place for all Tennessee employees, regardless of vaccination status:

  1. Masks: All employees must now wear masks and social distance when in the workplace, at a company event or when visiting a customer location.
  2. Quarantine: All employees must quarantine for 10 days following a) exposure to a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 or b) international travel.
  3. Job accommodations: All employees who previously received a job accommodation with requirement different than what is outlined above must now follow the above requirements and are permitted to return to the workplace.
  4. Proof of vaccination: Employees whose job requires them to enter the personal residences of customers may now be asked to show proof of vaccination before entering. If you are in this type of job, please ensure you have your vaccine card on you at all times.

Additionally, employees must continue to complete the daily Workplace Entry Assessment and follow all Workplace Behavior & Face Covering Guidelines before entering an AT&T work location, attending an in-person company event or conducting work on behalf of AT&T at customer or vendor locations.

*These updates are subject to change based on changes in state or federal laws or regulations. We will continue to update you on requirements if they change.
